Student Spotlight
Each week we will get to learn more about one of our classmates. Each child will be assigned a week, and a note will go home a week before to give you time to prepare.
I ask that they bring in items and objects to describe themselves, their interests, and their hobbies, as well as some pictures of themselves and family or friends. These will be displayed in the classroom for the week. They will also have time to give a short presentation describing the photos and items and how they make your child who they are! If possible, I also think it would be really cool to have the kids bring in their favorite childhood (sounds so out of place-they are still children!) picture book! If I can find a little time during the week, I would love to have each of them read something to the class (if they would feel comfortable doing so). In lieu of objects or photos, students can also choose to tell a story to the class or share a piece of writing.
Have fun with it! Can’t wait for the kids to teach me a thing or two!
